We advocate for affordable housing, supportive housing for the homeless, neighborhood revitalization, public school improvements, and other community concerns through WIN.

WIN is a city-wide, non-partisan, citizens’ organization that brings together 48 congregations and community organizations. It bridges the divisions of race, religion, and income that have long characterized politics in the District of Columbia. WIN is affiliated with the Industrial Area’s Foundation, the oldest and largest national community-organizing network in the United States, founded by Saul Alinsy. As a founding congregation of WIN, Metropolitan has worked since the early 1990s to build and sustain this vital coalition. Learn more about WIN.
